Really Cool Thing Happened– Thanks Autism Digest Magazine!!
Wednesday, Jan 30, 2013

So, today I finally remembered that I needed to renew my and the clinic’s subscription to Autism and Asperger’s Digest magazine.  So, I renewed online.  Very soon after I processed the payment, I received a personalized email from the managing editor of that magazine, Kim Fields.  She took her own time to research our website and compose an email to me about how she could provide the clinic with free subscriptions to share in the waiting room and with staff.  I was so excited that she took the time to personally thank me for my continued subscription to the magazine and to research and complement our clinic.

It’s people like her that make me smile every day!  Thanks Kim!

Raising Hands Expected Behaviors Graphic
Wednesday, Jan 30, 2013

Hi again,

I was working with a couple of social groups of kiddos and recently did some school visits/observations of them.  I realized that many of the kids in these groups (as well as throughout my social groups and schools), have difficulty realizing the “hidden rules” or Expected Behaviors related to hand raising.  So, I made this graphic to help them understand and hopefully be better at it in their classrooms etc.

Here’s the link…

Hopefully it can help you guys too!

Hello Everyone!

This is my first adventure into blogging.  I am both excited and nervous about it at the same time :-/  Hopefully things will go well and this will become a great place for me to post ideas, my thinking, and strategies… as well as a place for me to occasionally step onto my soapbox and vent a little 🙂

Thanks for joining me on this adventure!
