Caitlin Phillips

Caitlin joined Austin's Communication Station in June 2017. She had previously been a Level II Fieldwork student here at ACS and loved her experience so much that she came back to work as a full-time Occupational Therapist. She received her Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences in Saint Augustine, Florida. Caitlin is also a graduate of Auburn Univeristy with a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation and Disability Studies. Here she learned of her passion for people with disabilities which led her to where she is today.

During graduate school, Caitlin worked both pediatric and adult populations. She had the opportunity to work with orthopedic clients with various injuries including; flexor tendon repair, amputations, carpal tunnel, Dupuytren's, trigger finger, and more. While she loved working with this population and learning from a wonderful CHT, Caitlin's passion lies with children. She obtained experience in pediatrics here at ACS as well as in the schools and homes.

Since graduating, Caitlin has been working as a pediatric Occupational Therapist in Atlanta providing services in outpatient clinics as well as homes and daycares. She also provided Early Intervention services to young children (0-3 years) in their natural environment. She has experience with diagnoses such as: Cerebral Palsy, developmental delay, chromosomal disorders (including Down Syndrome, Q16 Deletion), neurological impairments (like microcephaly, myeloencephalitis), JRA, Autism, Moebius Syndrome, Arthrogryposis multiplex congenita, Sensory Processing Disorder, and more.

If you catch her on the weekends you might find her playing wiht her dog (Benny), reading, traveling, redoing old furnature, or exploring her new city.
