Morgan Cougot, OTR/L

Morgan joined Austin's Communication Station in September 2014 as a travel therapist for 6 months. She enjoyed the clinic, her coworkers, and the area so much that she decided to work as a full time employee at ACS in January 2015. She received her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia in 2013.

During graduate school, Morgan worked with pediatric and geriatric populations. She gained experience with older adults in a rehabilitation hospital where she worked with people recovering from spinal cord injuries, strokes, and orthopedic injuries. Morgan's true passion lies with the pediatric population. She gained clinical experience in many outpatient clinics, schools, and early intervention environments (including homes and daycares).

Since graduating, Morgan has worked in a pediatric outpatient clinic, as well as providing Early Intervention services in Charlottesville, Virginia. In the outpatient setting, she worked with children ages 3-16 diagnosed with Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Sensory Processing Disorder, and Developmental Delays. She also worked with children ages 0-3 and their families in their natural setting to provide Early Intervention services. Morgan became certified in the Therapeutic Listening program in 2013 and looks forward to learning more about the ever-growing field of sensory integration.

Morgan grew up in the Richmond, Virginia area and moved to Austin in 2014. She enjoys playing soccer, participating in outdoor activities, and exploring all of the fun things that Austin has to offer!
